The Hebrew word for ‘peace’ is shalom. It has a variety of translated meanings, but at its root, it means “to restore broken relationships.” We believe that peace can only come through faith in God and responsibility on behalf of our fellow man–we are ambassadors for Christ since he appeals to you as if from one friend or family member asking another how they’ve been doing; so, we implore all who read these words: Be reconciled with those whom they have wronged (II Corinthians 5) since this would make them more like him when times get tough! He did what no other person could do make someone without even knowing sin himself.
